81 years ago this bike rolled off an assembly line at the Columbia factory during the height of WWII. As part of helping the cause all the usual chrome parts were either anodized black or “parkerized.” This Sports Tourist was black and accented with gold lettering and pin striping. The original wheels were painted a creamy white – the owners of this bike in a previous preservation kept the original New Departure hubs and re-laced them into new hoops/rims. The Fulton family history with this particular bike is long and interesting. It was indeed a privilege to present the preserved bike to Dave at the shop today! Enjoy.
