Back last fall Dan brought us his tired, worn out, well loved Opaque Blue 1974 Schwinn Varsity that he bought with his own money at the iconic Ray’s Bike Shop in Huntington. It needed lots of help to get it looking good and ready to ride for his grandkids. With the help of our HBS big stash of vintage Schwinn parts and the paint matching skills of Roger Schenkel at Auto Value, this bike looks amazing! Thanks Dan for giving us the chance to keep memories alive and your bike rolling into a third generation of riders!

We salvaged the rear freewheel and spoke protector. Because the bike is going to be ridden regularly, Dan opted for a new set of steel/chromed wheels that will last another 50 years.
