What a treat it was to present Jean G. with her rehabbed 1967 Schwinn Hollywood. What makes this bike special is the violet color that contrasts so dramatically with the gleaming chrome and brand new whitewall tires. The two speed Bendix kickback hub works flawlessly, as well as the generator powered front and rear lights. The chrome Ding-Dong bell is a nice touch!
What makes this bike EXTRA special is that Jean remembers going with her mother to the bike shop for her 10th birthday to pick it out and take it home. It touched my heart when she was moved to tears by seeing her beloved bike shining like new once again.
