The dead of winter is a slower time for the shop, but we stay busy doing light restoration/preservations and rehabs of vintage bikes.
Check out Eric B’s 1976 Free Spirit Muscle bike we cleaned up and put back together for the original owner who got it for Christmas 1976. It’s a three speed internal hub with original paint, tires, seat and grips.
And then check out the work we are doing right now on a 1951 Schwinn Panther that belonged to the owner’s father. It is very original, with saddle, grips, tank with horn and springer fork. We are getting new guts for the horn to get it working again. Right now it’s completely disassembled and all the paint is being rejuvenated and polished. Chrome is being derusted and then it will all go back together with new grease, tires and tubes ready to ride for another 75 years!
