Scored this crusty Violet 1967 Schwinn Varsity a few summers ago and over the past couple of weeks the HBS team and I got it back riding and looking great. We took it down to the frame and cleaned it, polished it, de-rusted it and put it back together. Some of the original parts were shot, so we went to our extensive Schwinn parts stash and went “shopping.” We also put on a nice set of modern alloy QR wheels and wrapped them in white wall Schwalbe tires. Got to ride this beauty for a couple miles today and it feels as superb as it looks.
